CURRENT AFFAIRS :-
1. Sri Lanka's Hambantota International Port (HIP) announced that it has become the South Asian country's first port to comply to internationally-recognized integrated management system standards.
2. Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur inaugurated/launched a number of projects at the Haldia Dock Complex of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.
3. Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan visited IIT Guwahati and inaugurated the state-of-the-art Centre for Nanotechnology (CNT) and Centre for Indian Knowledge System (CIKS) as well as two hostels at the Institute.
4. Dr Rohit Lahori, pain and palliative care specialist at a premier government hospital in Jammu, was awarded with the International Award for Low Cost Treatment for Interventional Pain Management for 2021.
5. Telangana was adjudged best performer in inland fisheries, while Andhra Pradesh was named the best marine state in the country by the Centre.
6. Union Minister for Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the newly constructed building of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan in Shillong.
7. Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman was awarded the Vir Chakra by President Ram Nath Kovind at an investiture ceremony for shooting down a Pakistani F-16 fighter aircraft in February 2019.
8. Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah laid Foundation Stone of Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Luangkao Village, Tamenglong District, Manipur
